Groups of Real Racing 3: How It Works

This section simply tells you how this all works and how I will be presenting this material. Read on to gain some instant perspective.

How These Posts Will Work.

Each post will be presented in the order of first page to last page, top left to bottom right. What you will see in each post is a look at the cars offered and an idea of what each series is about. These posts will be updated to reflect various changes. Many of these will either be from looking up sources or by my own progress through each game. I will not really share you how to access each series- you are essentially on your own here. I will not share every last individual race in these posts. "Real Racing 3" is too detailed for me to actually share decent information on each series and race.

Things to Remember.

These posts all indicate the different races available for each series. There are various tiers of competition within each series. You will need to earn a number of Trophies to unlock new tiers and new cars. Each tier can feature as few as one race and as many as three. Races that include Showcases are specifically meant for one specific car, and they include some kind of race or races along with a Time Trial. You must have DRIVE available to participate in Time Trials. If you have maxed out your car, you can compete as many times as you like in Time Trials. When some series are unlocked, separate smaller series also become available. Some of these smaller series don't appear until you unlock one specific series within each group. Therefore, you will be doing more racing than you really think you are doing. You obviously want to get Gold for each race. However, a finish of 3rd or better is all you need to unlock more series and cars. So concentrate early on getting 3rd or better and then improve upon your performance when you have a better car or when you have an upgraded car. You can always go back to races and series where you don't have all gold to yet. Progress at every 25% earns you R$ Bonuses and Gold. Complete the entire series with 100% completion to earn the maximum bonuses.

To fully complete a series, you will need to pick up every available car. Most cars require R$, but some require Gold. You can purchase cars you haven't yet unlocked by paying for them in Gold. When you unlock some cars, you may get to pick up certain cars for a discounted Gold price as a one-time offer. You may elect to buy R$ or Gold by using your own money if you are short on funds in the game. Packs are also available giving you both R$ and Gold. You would hate using your own money to earn virtual currency, but if that is what it takes for you to try to complete this massive game, then so be it. To find out what cars can only be bought with Gold, please visit this blog post of mine: Real Racing 3 - Gold Cars.

Since I am updating this material based on my own progress through "Real Racing 3," these posts may be updated regularly to reflect new changes or correct certain errors.

Real Racing 3: Pro/Am Group

I won't show you all of the individual races, but I will give you insight on the series you will participate in.

Groups of Real Racing 3 Pro-Am
^ The training wheels are off now. Get ready to deal with the Pro/Am class- featuring more powerful cars than the Amateur class, including V8 power.

Pro/Am takes you into a realm of more powerful cars and more intense races. The series features V8 power. The cars you will be using are all higher-end sports cars, but not exactly exotic and exclusive sports cars. You still will get your money's worth in this one. The cars all perform very well and are all part of a diverse lineup of vehicles. You will even use a few purpose-built race cars here also among those cars.

You will unlock the Pro/Am group at Level 8.

V8 Naturals.

Cars Featured:
• Dodge Charger R/T
• Dodge Charger SRT8
• Lexus IS F (2013)
• Chevrolet '69 Stingray 427
• Shelby '66 Cobra 427

The calling card for this series is on naturally-aspirated V8 sports cars. You will be wrestling with some seriously powerful cars powered by V8 engines. Three luxury-style cars and two classic cars are available for you to race in this series. A total of 22 tiers of competition await you in this series.

AWD Attack.

Car Featured:
• Hyundai I20 WRC

In this 5-tier series, you will get to race a potent four-wheel drive rally car. If you didn't race in the NASCAR Group, this may be your first pure race car you race in "Real Racing 3." The Hyundai I20 WRC is a car raced by Hyundai in the FIA World Rally Championship. Even though this is a rally car, there are no rally racing events in "Real Racing 3." Rally cars are usually tuned to have great acceleration and snappy handling. These are needed for the many different rally challenges they take part in. On the other hand, they do not have very good top speed. So you will be dealing with a race car that can only go SO fast. Learn to harness this car's capabilities to gain Trophies. A later series will feature the Hyundai I20 WRC. So if you want to gain an edge, try to upgrade this car. Be warned, though- upgrades for this car do NOT come cheap.

Performance Rumble.

Cars Featured:
• Dodge Challenger SRT8
• Nissan 370Z (Z34)
• Ford Shelby GT500
• Ford Mustang GT Premium
• BMW M3 GTS

Power and performance are in vogue with this series. Five potent sports cars, including three muscle cars, are waiting for you to unleash these monsters out on the different race tracks featured in each of this series' events.

V8 Performance Brawl.

Cars Featured:
• Ford Shelby GT500
• Ford Ford GT
• McLaren MP4-12C
• Ferrari F40
• Porsche 918 Spyder Concept

The power and roar of a V8 engine are for you to savor and master in this 22-tier series. The V8 Performance brawl pits five differrnt V8-powered sports cars and exotics against one another. You are then looking for one of the finest racing experiences with these capable cars.

This series opens after you unlock Performance Rumble.

V8 Muscle Hustle.

Cars Featured:
• Dodge Challenger SRT8
• Dodge Challenger SRT8
• Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
• Ford Shelby GT500
• Ford Mustang GT Premium

"Well-built V8 American muscle cars form up to dominate the track in this Series."

Feel the ground tremble in the wake of cars in this all-American showdown. The Big Three all await you with V8-powered American beasts. So pick one and lay the power down to the ground in this 22-tier series!

This series opens after you unlock Performance Rumble. Clear a certain number of races in the Performance Rumble to access this series.

Everyday Heroes.

Cars Featured:
• Audi TT RS Coupe
• BMW M3 Coupe
• BMW M6 Coupe
• Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Four cars, three manufacturers, one country. These German performance coupes offer great levels of performance. Make the most of their performance to claim victory in these races.

Coupe Clash.

Cars Featured:
• Audi TT RS Coupe
• BMW 1 Series Coupe
• Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
• Ford Shelby GT500

This championship is America vs. Germany. On the American side are Chevrolet and Ford, and on the German side are Audi and BMW. Pick a side and prepare to go blow-for-blow with these 20 or so tiers of racing.

Classic Mazda Challenge.

Car Featured:
• Mazda RX-3

When you unlock this series, you will be racing with a classic Mazda RX-3 race car. Can you take advantage of this classic rotary monster to win races?

Hot Hatch Power Match.

Cars Featured:
• Hyundai Veloster Turbo
• Ford Focus RS
• Renault Clio Cup
• Renault Megane R.S. 275 Trophy - R

The Hot Hatch Power Match features four peppy hatchbacks with abundant performance stats. Two of these hot hatches are purpose-built race cars. So if you can get your hands on either or both of the race cars, you will have quite a jolly good time trying to win races in this series. Both of the Renaults require GOLD to purchase. Save up to between 150 to 200 GOLD to purchase the Renault race cars in this series.

Classic Skyline Challenge.

Car Featured:
• Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (KPGC10)

Nissan lends you their legendary Skyline 2000 GT-R for this classic car series.

Hot Hatch Power Match 2.

Cars Featured:
• Renault Clio Cup
• Renault Megane R.S. 275 Trophy - R
• Mercedes-AMG A 45

Another helping of hot hatch performance is on order with this second of the Hot Hatch Power Match series. The same two Renault race cars appear in this series. However, the Hyundai Veloster is out and the Mercedes-Benz A 45 is in. So this is essentially two French race cars vs. one potent German tuner car. Who will win? That is for you to decide!
