Groups of Real Racing 3: How It Works

This section simply tells you how this all works and how I will be presenting this material. Read on to gain some instant perspective.

How These Posts Will Work.

Each post will be presented in the order of first page to last page, top left to bottom right. What you will see in each post is a look at the cars offered and an idea of what each series is about. These posts will be updated to reflect various changes. Many of these will either be from looking up sources or by my own progress through each game. I will not really share you how to access each series- you are essentially on your own here. I will not share every last individual race in these posts. "Real Racing 3" is too detailed for me to actually share decent information on each series and race.

Things to Remember.

These posts all indicate the different races available for each series. There are various tiers of competition within each series. You will need to earn a number of Trophies to unlock new tiers and new cars. Each tier can feature as few as one race and as many as three. Races that include Showcases are specifically meant for one specific car, and they include some kind of race or races along with a Time Trial. You must have DRIVE available to participate in Time Trials. If you have maxed out your car, you can compete as many times as you like in Time Trials. When some series are unlocked, separate smaller series also become available. Some of these smaller series don't appear until you unlock one specific series within each group. Therefore, you will be doing more racing than you really think you are doing. You obviously want to get Gold for each race. However, a finish of 3rd or better is all you need to unlock more series and cars. So concentrate early on getting 3rd or better and then improve upon your performance when you have a better car or when you have an upgraded car. You can always go back to races and series where you don't have all gold to yet. Progress at every 25% earns you R$ Bonuses and Gold. Complete the entire series with 100% completion to earn the maximum bonuses.

To fully complete a series, you will need to pick up every available car. Most cars require R$, but some require Gold. You can purchase cars you haven't yet unlocked by paying for them in Gold. When you unlock some cars, you may get to pick up certain cars for a discounted Gold price as a one-time offer. You may elect to buy R$ or Gold by using your own money if you are short on funds in the game. Packs are also available giving you both R$ and Gold. You would hate using your own money to earn virtual currency, but if that is what it takes for you to try to complete this massive game, then so be it. To find out what cars can only be bought with Gold, please visit this blog post of mine: Real Racing 3 - Gold Cars.

Since I am updating this material based on my own progress through "Real Racing 3," these posts may be updated regularly to reflect new changes or correct certain errors.

Real Racing 3: Amateur Group

I won't show you all of the individual races, but I will give you insight on the series you will participate in.

Real Racing 3 Amateur Group
^ Real Racing 3's Amateur Group features performance road vehicles.

Real Racing 3's Amateur Group highlights on performance road cars. No one car is terribly powerful or masterfully adept. Use this series to help you to understand the nuances of "Real Racing 3." So don't worry about driving cars that are tough to drive or races that are near impossible to win.

The Amateur group is available from the start, so don't worry about being at a certain level to participate.

Racing School Basics.

This gives you a proper introduction into the world of Real Racing 3. It consists of a few different lessons on how to be a better driver in the game. Clear this to be able to race in the other events in the Amateur Group. Including...

Pure Stock Challenge.

Cars Featured:
• Nissan Silvia (S15)
• Ford Focus RS
• Dodge Challenger R/T
• BMW 1 Series M Coupe

The genesis of your Real Racing 3 Odyssey begins with the Pure Stock Challenge. Some 13 tiers of competition await you with these capable low-end sports cars. The emphasis here is on automobiles that are not seriously powerful or go very fast. The races should be fairly simple while still being competitive.

Road Car International.

Cars Featured:
• Hyundai Veloster Turbo
• Nissan Silvia (S15)
• Ford Focus RS
• Lexus IS 350 F Sport (2014)
• Nissan 350Z (Z33)
• BMW Z4 M Coupe

America, Europe, and Asia are represented in this series of races. Here you will be faced with a massive 22-tier series of races across the six featured cars in this series. Needless to say, you will be quite busy here considering how many tiers of competition are offered here along with the variety in performance of each of the cars.

Racing School Advanced.

When you get further ahead in the Amateur Group, you will unlock the Racing School Advanced events. You will get to use the BMW Z4 SDRIVE35IS. You will take on more advanced driving challenges. Complete all of the events to win your own BMW Z4 SDRIVE35IS, or you can buy one and just complete the challenges independently. You can upgrade your car through this time. Since you may likely have to use this car again, it is best you try to max out this car's upgrades if you can.

Street-Spec Skirmish.

Cars Featured:
• Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34)
• Nissan 350Z (Z33)
• BMW Z4 M Coupe
• BMW Z4 SDRIVE35IS

Street-Spec Skirmish features four capable sports cars from two different countries and two different manufacturers. It's Japan's Nissan vs. Germany's BMW. You will have 14 tiers of competition for which to compete valiantly in this Nissan vs. BMW battle. You can use your BMW from the Racing School Advanced if you have one heading into this series.

6 Cyl Annihilation Series.

Cars Featured:
• Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34)
• Nissan 370Z
• BMW 1 Series M Coupe
• BMW Z4 SDRIVE35IS

The cars in this series are powered by six-cylinder engines. Take advantage of these six-bangers across this 19-tier series. Oh, and it is another battle of Nissan vs. BMW.

Global Production Pursuit.

Cars Featured:
• Chevrolet Cobalt SS
• Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34)
• Dodge Challenger R/T
• BNW Z4 M Coupe

This series has a little of everything across the four eligible cars. You can choose between a peppy compact car, a powerful sports car, a modern muscle car, or a sporty coupe. You unlock this series after getting six Trophies in "Street-Spec Skirmish." Good luck to you taking on these 18 tiers of competition in this series.
